Spanish
As stated in the SJCC Catalog, the Foreign Language Lab class for Spanish supplements classroom instruction for Spanish 001A, 001B, 002A and 002B classes. The students will use audio, video, and computer programs in conjunction with in-class assignments. This course is worth a ½ unit and must be taken concurrently with the respective 5 unit class. This is a Credit/No Credit course.
Although each instructor may have specific requirements for their classes, all students must complete 24 hours of lab work over the course of the semester. Lab work will consist minimally of the completion of exercises in the Laboratory Manual and Video Manual that accompany the Vistas textbook.
Included with the purchase of a new textbook is a password to enter the Vistas Supersite (www.vhlcentral.com) where students can access all of the video and audio programs necessary to complete the manuals. Students will use the password to set up a personal account on the Vistas Supersite. There are additional practice exercises and quizzes at the site as well.
